Subcontractor Selection
Over the years of doing business in Northern California a large base of highly qualified subcontractors have been put together in order to provide a broad selection of tradesman. When a project is developed, subcontractors are recommended depending on the level of finish and material specified.
Project Bidding
When possible all portions of the project will be bid by multiple qualified subcontractors, or in accordance with the Architect’s or Owner’s wishes. Murray Building, Inc may self perform certain portions of the project where it may be more competitive or offer scheduling advantages. Subcontractors will have contracts awarded based upon price, ability to meet schedules and previous performance.
Project Management
During the construction process Murray Building, Inc will provide a full management package. From contract administration and accounting, to construction project management and supervision, to project close out and warranty. All aspects of your construction project will be overseen directly by the construction staff.

Sonoma, Ca
Construction of new craftsman style custom residential home. The home was designed by renowned architect Norm Oliver. Home featured Custom wood work, hardwood floors, custom quarter sawn white oak cabinetry, granite concrete counters and custom quarter sawn white oak fireplace surround.
PRIVATE RESIDENCE
Sonoma, Ca
Construction of new 2,900 square foot custom residential home. Home featured Custom wood work, curved moldings and arches, hardwood floors, custom cherry cabinetry, poured in place concrete counters and custom concrete fireplace surround.

Construction of new custom 3,900 square foot residential home. Home featured custom wood work, curved moldings, hardwood floors, custom cherry cabinetry, poured in place concrete counters, granite fireplace surrounds and elevated concrete paver deck.
GOVERNMENT OFFICE
San Rafael, Ca
Tenant improvement of approx. 12,000 sq. ft. of office space for government agency. Tenant improvement required demolition, remodel and build out of existing office space. Tenant improvement included multiple conference rooms including a large conference room that featured motorized audio / video presentation.
MARIN COUNTY COURTS
San Rafael, Ca
Construction of new security barriers which were used to separate the County Courts area from the general public area in the Marin County Civic Center. Due to the building being original designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, it is a national landmark and all construction was required to be built to the original architectural standards. The project details called for the custom fabrication of curved walnut moldings along with the installation of period glass in plated window frames.
About Us
Murray Building, Inc originally started as Murray Building in 1987 by Scott Murray on the East end of Long Island, New York. The original focus of the company was small remodels concentrating on design and construction of kitchens and bathrooms. This eventually led to construction of new custom homes that ranged from 2,000 sq. ft. to 18,000 sq. ft.
Soon light commercial work was added to the company scope of work which included tenant improvements to offices and retail spaces. In 1990 the company was relocated to Sonoma County, California where in the fertile environment of this lush agricultural area the company continued to grow.
In 2001 Murray Building, Inc branched out into government construction projects starting with small government office remodels and eventually growing to large scale school remodeling and new construction.
Since the starting of government construction work, the projects have consisted of a broad range of scopes. Some projects have been: school remodeling, hospital alterations; fire station alterations; airport construction; city hall alterations and full campus ADA improvements.

Murray Building recently completed a project for the City of Belvedere known as Renovatoins to City Hall Reception Area and Police Department Kitchenette.
The project was completed on scheduele with a high level of workmanship. Management of fieldwork as well as administrative paperwork was handled in an efficient and professional manner.
